pretty good when is the rough draft due?

  2. JStallings says:

Rough draft will be due late this week. We’ll have EOI testing throughout, so we’ll pin the date as we move closer. Likely Friday. The schedule’s going to be a bit wonky for the end of this semester.

  3. Amanda Kruse says:

It’s good, but I’m having trouble starting my rough draft.

  4. JStallings says:

Don’t worry about putting anything into paragraph form right now. That should be the last part of this step. For now, make sure you have a clear idea of your central argument (are you trying to change people’s minds or get them to do something?), then make a list of all the support you have. After you’re set there, look for possible counter-arguments and list your rebuttals. Write just a sentence for each part (central argument, each piece of support, and rebuttals), then set it aside. We’ll work more in class tomorrow.

should we print off the articles for tomorrow? if there is school, i heard remington elementary’s hill was pretty slick.

  6. JStallings says:

Yeah, go ahead and print them off. You should be ready to discuss your progress with peers, and you’ll have time to work on it in class.

  7. josh wallace says:

how many should we have? i only have 1 article that’s about the book and then another about the idea i’m comparing it to

  8. JStallings says:

That’ll be fine for now. When we look over your thesis we may find that you need more outside evidence, but it’s still early yet.

  9. josh wallace says:

    sweet! 😀
i’ll keep searching for a little longer just in case i find something

Did you check out the previous post?

  12. Jim Woltz says:

Can we use books as resources, or are we limited to online articles? (‘~’)?

  13. JStallings says:

You may definitely use books as resources. You may use any credible source, regardless of medium.
